| A Discussion on the Land Transaction Registration System Dring the Republic of China Period |

| Abstract:The land transaction registration system during the Republic of China period went through a development process from the traditional society of white deeds and certificate confirmation, to registration opposition, and then to registration effectiveness. The theory of property rights changes absorbed from the West during the modernization process of Chinese law has had a significant impact on this development process. From two dimensions of historical development and horizontal comparison, examining the land transaction registration system during the Republic of China period, it can be found that there was a contradictory tension between maintaining transaction security and reducing transaction costs in the land transaction registration system during this period. The ultimate choice of the land transaction registration system during the Republic of China period articulated that its core value was more focused on transaction security. |
